Oregon baseball drops in national polls following series loss to Washington State
Oregon baseball’s stock took a hit over the weekend.
The Ducks (26-13, 11-7) had a big opportunity to bolster their resume and keep pace in the Pac-12 standings. But they lost a pair of games to a Washington State team (16-22, 7-14) that has struggled for much of the season.
As a result, Oregon has now plummeted to fourth place in the Pac-12 and saw its status in the national polls suffer, too.

The Ducks fell out of the D1Baseball top-25 after being ranked No. 20 at the start of last week.
Their ranking in the other national polls is as follows:
- Baseball America: No. 25 (previously No. 10)
- NCBWA: No. 20 (Previously No. 9)
- Collegiate Baseball: No. 21 (Previously No. 10)
- RPI: No. 14 (Previously No. 3)

Oregon State, which swept Washington over the weekend, came in at No. 2 in the latest D1Baseball poll. Stanford (No. 6), UCLA (No. 13) are the only other Pac-12 schools that cracked the top-25.
The Ducks and Beavers will meet for a single-game matchup Tuesday at PK Park in Eugene, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Then, Oregon will host Cal for a three-game set this weekend.
