The transfer portal has opened which means a lot of players have jumped in looking for new opportunities. December 5 is simply the first day players can jump in however. The opening to do so goes until January 18 however.

Which means players could opt-in after bowl games or after potential graduation dates in the Winter.

Oregon freshman defensive back Jahlil Florence was a name speculated around entering the portal. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder signed with the Ducks as part of the 2022 class and a big win for Lanning in his shortened recruiting cycle.

On Tuesday Florence announced his intent to remain to Oregon, eliminating any current concerns.

The Ducks have a lot of work to do in the secondary this season. Florence figures to be a key part of that rebuild for Dan Lanning.
