After a thrilling win over UCLA at the Rose Bowl Stadium Saturday, Oregon has begun to ascend back up the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Ducks sat at No. 10 a week ago but climbed to No. 8 in the latest poll. That is thanks in part to their own gutsy showing against the Bruins, but also because Oklahoma State and Penn State both suffered losses Saturday.

Oregon received 1,139 points — 69 less than No. 7 Michigan State and 120 more than No. 9 Ole Miss. Georgia held strong at No. 1, while Cincinnati, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Ohio State round out the top five.

Oregon is the third-highest ranked one-loss team behind Alabama and Ohio State.

Once again, the Ducks are the only Pac-12 team inside the top-25. A handful of conference teams received votes; Arizona State (27), Oregon State (13), and Utah (1) all received votes.

Oregon will host Colorado at 12:30 p.m. in Eugene next Saturday.
