The Ducks are on the board early in the 2025 recruiting cycle. And it came from a rather unsuspecting name.
Tampa Bay Tech (Fla.) wide receiver Dallas Wilson committed very shortly after an offer was made. In fact, it was the same day. The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder had said if he was ever offered by Oregon he would commit and he held true to his word.
Here is what Wilson told ScoopDuck’s Sean Nelson back in January.
“Oregon has been my dream school since I was a little,” he said. “But that doesn’t mean I committed just because of that reason.
“The reason I committed to Oregon so early in the process was because I felt like family in the few minutes we had to talk. And I felt like I can relate and be in a position where my family has never been.”

Sight unseen, he announced his commitment.
He will get to change that however with a visit date currently planned for March 16.
Here is what Wilson told ScoopDuck about his upcoming visit to Oregon.
“Me, my brother and my mother are all coming to Oregon with me. I’d bring the whole family if I could. I want them to see my choice and why I chose Oregon as my second family.🤞🏽
I’m also excited to see the coaching staff and the players and build a real bond with them as a little brother to the Oregon family. 💯 Hopefully play a little basketball and tour the whole school and just be a part of the whole thing.
OREGON IS WHERE MY HEART IS SET🦆”
Wilson is in the 2025 class. So his commitment is not binding. He is currently 100% committed to Oregon but that will not deter schools from continuing to recruit him. This visit will go a long ways towards Oregon being able to hang on to the talented pass-catcher.
Last season he finished with 40 catches for 875 yards and 12 touchdowns.
ScoopDuck will work on following up with Wilson after his visit is complete.
