Oregon cornerback Jaylin Davies enters transfer portal

One of Oregon’s highly-touted young defensive backs could be on the move.
Jaylin Davies, a former 4-star signee, has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of On3.
As a true freshman in 2021, Davies played in two games for the Ducks. He found himself in a logjam at cornerback and was battling for playing time with fellow 2021 4-stars Darren Barkins and Avante Dickerson.

After injuries and departures left Oregon’s secondary depleted for the Alamo Bowl and December, Davies saw his most significant playing time of the year in the Ducks’ loss to Oklahoma.
Barkins was the No. 172 overall prospect and the No. 15 cornerback in the class of 2021.
At the time this story was published, Davies had not yet announced on social media that he is leaving the Oregon program.
