Oregon cornerback Khyree Jackson leaves Stanford game with injury
Oregon’s top cornerback left with an injury late in the first quarter of the Ducks’ Week 5 showdown with Stanford.
Khyree Jackson, a senior who transferred in from Alabama last offseason, left after suffering an apparent left hip injury and later walked back to the locker room under his own power.
Midway through the second quarter, Jackson returned to the Oregon sideline.
During Oregon’s Week 4 win over Stanford, Jackson delivered the best performance of his career and was named to the Pro Football Focus Team of the Week after recording four tackles and three pass breakups against a high-powered Colorado offense.
“We’ve challenged him every single week and he keeps stepping up to the challenge,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said of Jackson on Monday. “I’m really proud of Khyree and the way that he’s played. He hasn’t let the moment get too big. I think we’re all seeing what Khyree is capable of and we’re going to continue to challenge him, and he’s going to continue to make us better with the way he’s performing on Saturdays.”
After Jackson left Saturday’s game, Nikko Reed replaced him at cornerback opposite Jahlil Florence. The Ducks also feature veteran cornerbacks Trikweze Bridges and Dontae Manning.
The Ducks are also rolling without starting safety Bryan Addison.

RB Noah Whittington: Oregon was dealt its first significant injury blow of the season against the Buffs when star running back Noah Whittington suffered a serious injury to his left leg. Oregon WR's injury not season-ending
LB Jestin Jacobs: For the first time since the start of fall camp, Iowa transfer Jestin Jacobs was seen participating in a full-contact drill during an open practice. That’s a positive sign for the junior linebacker as he continues to work his way back from the knee injury he suffered last fall, but he was not on the field during warmups on Saturday.
S Bryan Addison: Oregon’s starting free safety missed Tuesday’s practice for undisclosed reasons. He left the Colorado game briefly after taking a hit during the third quarter, but later returned to the sideline and appeared to be OK. Addison was back at practice on Wednesday as a full participant. But he is not in uniform on Saturday.
OL Lipe Moala: The freshman offensive lineman has been absent from practice for a few weeks and is sidelined once again in Week 5.
DL Tevita Pome’e: The freshman defensive lineman returned to practice earlier this month after having been sidelined for several weeks. But he is not available to play in Week 5.
