Oregon’s secondary is expected to be at full strength against Washington this weekend.

Two of the Ducks’ top defensive backs — cornerback Khyree Jackson and safety Bryan Addison — both dealt with injuries during their Week 5 win over Stanford and were questionable entering the week. While speaking with reporters Monday evening, though, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said Jackson and Addison will both be available to play.

“I am,” Lanning said when asked if he is expecting them to play.

That’s big news for the Ducks as they prepare to face the top passing attack in the country.

Michael Penix Jr. and the Washington offense average 446.4 passing yards per game, the most among FBS schools. In Rome Oduzne, Jalen McMillan, and Ja’lynn Polk, the Huskies feature three all-conference caliber receivers.

“It’s extremely unique,” Lanning said of UW’s quality depth at receiver. “You know, a lot of times you’re going into a week and say, ‘Okay, we can’t let this one guy beat us.’ And the reality is for them, they have several guys that get the ball to, distribute the ball to — several guys who have gone over 100 yards in multiple games this year. So you have to have a focus on all of them.”

In his first season with the Ducks, Jackson has emerged as one of the top cornerbacks in the Pac-12. In five games, he has tallied 15 total tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sacks. He leads Oregon with two interceptions and four pass breakups.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jackson has been targeted 17 times in coverage this season and surrendered just eight receptions.

“We’ve challenged him every single week and he keeps stepping up to the challenge,” Lanning said of Jackson last week. “I’m really proud of Khyree and the way that he’s played. He hasn’t let the moment get too big. I think we’re all seeing what Khyree is capable of and we’re going to continue to challenge him, and he’s going to continue to make us better with the way he’s performing on Saturdays.”

Addison, a sixth-year senior, has played a big role for the Ducks at deep safety this season and has tallied 11 tackles and one interception. He has played 109 snaps, the 17th-most among Oregon defenders.

No. 7 Washington (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) and No. 8 Oregon (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) are set to kickoff at 12:30 p.m. PT this Saturday. The game will air on ABC.
