Oregon Ducks climb back into top 10 of AP Poll, Coaches Poll following win over Utah

The Oregon Ducks are once again a top-10 football team.

After plummeting in the national polls a week ago, the Ducks bounced back in a major way on Saturday and ground out a 20-17 win over Utah.

As a result, the Ducks climbed two spots to No. 10 in the AP Poll and four spots to No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Oregon received 1,009 points in the AP Poll and 1,004 in the Coaches Poll.

They are one of five Pac-12 teams that cracked the top 25 of the AP Poll. USC (No. 5), Washington (No. 12), Utah (No. 14), UCLA (No. 17), and Oregon State (No. 22) are the others.

In the Coaches Poll, USC (No. 5), Washington (No. 12), Utah (No. 14), UCLA (No. 18), and Oregon State (No. 22) also made the cut.

The Ducks (9-2, 7-1) will look to secure a trip to the conference title game when they travel to Corvallis next Saturday for a rivalry showdown with the Beavers. (8-3, 5-3).

That game will kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT at Reser Stadium and air on ABC.

Texas joins this week’s rankings at No. 24, taking the spot of last week’s No. 24 team, Oklahoma State. UCF remained just inside the top 25, dropping eight spots to the final spot in the rankings.

Others receiving votes: UTSA (85), South Carolina (44), Troy (34), Boise State (16), Illinois (12), Iowa (5), Louisville (5), South Alabama (3), Mississippi State (3), Oklahoma State (2), Arkansas (2), Purdue (2), and Fresno State (1) also received votes this week.
