Oregon Basketball Cracks AP Top 25 Ahead of Big Ten Tournament

Don’t look now, but it’s March and Dana Altman has Oregon surging. On Monday the Ducks (23-8, 12-8 Big Ten) cracked the Associated Press Top 25 poll, landing at No. 23.

Oregon was one of seven Big Ten teams to make the top 25, with Michigan State (No. 7) and Maryland (No. 11) leading the way for the conference.

Oregon’s re-entry into the top 25 comes on the heels of a seven-game win streak. On Sunday the Ducks grabbed an 80-73 overtime win over the Washington Huskies in Seattle to wrap up the regular season.

It was a monster day for Oregon big Nate Bittle, who logged a career-high 36 points in 38 minutes of action. He also knocked down a trio of three-pointers and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Next up for the Ducks is a trip to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, where they’ll face the Indiana Hoosiers in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday at 9 a.m. PT. That game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
