Oregon Ducks' recruiting class breaks into top 10 after latest commitment

Oregon’s 45-30 win over UCLA last Saturday wasn’t just a massive victory for the Ducks from a win-loss perspective.
It also served as a significant momentum booster for the Ducks on the recruiting trail.
With a star-studded list of visitors on hand to watch the marquee win over the then-No. 9-ranked Bruins, Dan Lanning and his staff quickly capitalized and landed commitments from a pair of 4-star recruits. North Medford (Ore.) tight end AJ Pugliano and Farrington (Hawaii) offensive lineman Iapani Laloulu, both committed to Oregon on Monday.
The commitment from laloulu officially pushed Oregon’s 2023 recruiting class into the top 10 of the On3 Consensus.
Coming into the weekend, the Ducks were sitting at No. 11. But they now have a score of 91.767 and have leapfrogged Mario Cristobal’s Miami Hurricanes (91.717).

With 21 players currently committed, Oregon’s class is also No. 1 in the Pac-12. USC (No. 13) and Stanford (No. 23) are the only other teams from the conference that currently sit in the top 25. After Laloulu’s commitment, Oregon also now has the No. 1 recruit from five different states: Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Oregon, and Washington.
With the nation beginning to take notice of Oregon’s on-field success, the recruiting momentum could continue for Lanning and co.
