Oregon Football Debuts at No. 1 in College Football Playoff Rankings
With airwaves dominated by political talk today, it’s also a big day in college football with the debut of the college football playoff rankings. The first rankings of the season from the ones that matter.
These rankings will help determine seeding and who makes it into the first ever 12-team college football playoffs. It is not as simple as the top 12 teams making it into the playoffs however.
For the past several weeks Oregon has maintained its No. 1 spot in the AP and coaches polls. And nobody really expected them not to be No. 1 in this poll as well. Oregon sits at 9-0 and is the No. 1 team in the Big Ten conference currently.
The Ducks have wins over the No. 2 and No. 12 teams in the rankings.
