Former Miami Dolphins safety Jevon Holland has found a new home on day two of NFL free agency.

The fifth-year defensive back out of Oregon has signed a three-year deal worth $45 million, according to a report from Ian Rappaport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The new deal features $30.3 million of guaranteed money.

Holland spent his first four NFL seasons in Miami, the team that selected him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was the first safety taken in a draft that also featured Elijah Molden (Washington), Trevon Moehrig (TCU) and Damar Hamlin (Pittsburgh).

Before playing for Oregon, the 6-foot-1, 210-pound defensive back was a four-star prospect out of Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O’Dowd High School. He spent two seasons with the Ducks, playing in the green and yellow in 2018 and 2019 before opting out of the 2020 pandemic season to prepare for the NFL Draft.

As a pro in Miami Holland was named a team captain and logged 42 tackles, one forced fumble and four pass breakups in 2024. Throughout his career in the Sunshine State he recorded 301 total tackles, five interceptions, 25 pass breakups and five sacks.

The Dolphins finished the 2024 season with an 8-9 record and dropped their last game of the season in a 32-20 loss to the New York Jets.

Holland’s new deal with the Giants reunites him with former Oregon teammate Kayvon Thibodeaux in East Rutherford.
