On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins break down the news of Oregon running backs coach Ra’Shaad Samples choosing to remain in Eugene. Samples, a Dallas native, interviewed for the Dallas Cowboys running backs coach position, which has since been filled by Derrick Foster, who spent the 2024 season coaching the New Orleans Saints running backs.

Dallas also interview Tashard Choice for the position, the current running backs coach for the Texas Longhorns.

Justin and Max also dive into a pair of recruiting predictions that Justin made on ScoopDuck as part of the site’s ‘Prediction TwosDay’ feature. Oregon continues to pick up steam on the recruiting trail, particularly with offensive line recruits in the 2026 class. A’lique Terry is searching for and wide for elite talent to add to an offensive line haul that features one verbal commitment in Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater dei four-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene.

Lastly, Max and Justin dive into some of the coaching carousel news running through college football. Chip Kelly chose to leave Ohio State and join the Las Vegas Raiders after one year and a winning a national championship with the Buckeyes. He’s the second coordinator and third assistant coach to leave Columbus along with Jim Knowles (Penn State DC) and Justin Frye (Arizona Cardinals OL).

We may be in the February recruiting dead period, but there’s still plenty to talk about around the Oregon Ducks and college football!
