4-Star LB Nick Abrams Places Oregon in Top Five Schools
2026 four-star Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh linebacker Nick Abrams is entering the final stages of his recruitments. On Tuesday, On3’s No. 12 linebacker announced his top five schools, and Oregon made the cut along with Alabama, Michigan, Penn State and Georgia.
“Those schools made the final list because they matched what I want in a school,” Abrams told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons. “All five schools are about development to the NFL and they put guys in the first round. That is a really big thing for me and my family.”
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker has never visited Oregon, but that’s set to change on April 19 when he makes his way out to Eugene to see a spring practice.
While he hasn’t taken a trip to the Pacific Northwest yet, he can see himself playing in the green and yellow for Dan Lanning.
“I remember seeing Oregon hiring Coach Dan Lanning and seeing all the progress he has made so far and it’s been great,” the four-star linebacker told ScoopDuck in February. “He is definitely a coach I could see myself playing for.”

Oregon signed Abrams’ former teammate Brandon Finney, a four-star cornerback in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Now the Ducks are trying to push further into the DMV pipeline with the coveted backer.
Abrams holds 30 reported scholarship offers and has taken visits to Alabama and Georgia this month. He has set a commitment date of July 16.
Oregon has one linebacker committed in its 2026 recruiting class in four-star Tristan Phillips while they continue to make progress with other top targets. Other linebackers worth following in the 2026 class include five-star Tyler Atkinson (GA), four-star Talanoa Ili (HI), four-star JaMichael Garrett (AL), Calvin Thomas (TX), four-star Kenneth Goodwin (CA) and three-star Hudson Dunn (AZ).
