2026 4-Star DL Tomuhini Topui Commits to Oregon
2026 On3 Industry Industry 4-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui has committed to the Oregon Ducks.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman announced his commitment to Head Coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks following a visit to Eugene to see No. 3 Oregon’s 32-31 win over the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend. He chose Oregon over other top schools like USC, UCLA, Miami and Oklahoma among others.
“I love everything I’m seeing,” Topui said of Oregon in a recent ScoopDuck interview. “They’re playing good teams and their defense is just popping off, especially that front seven.”
His relationship with Tony Tuioti continues to flourish and got stronger when he had the chance to be coached by him during a July trip to Eugene for the school’s “Saturday Night Live” camp. He’s felt the love from the Ducks from the jump.
“Every time I go up there they’re always telling me I’m their number one priority and every time I go up there I feel it,” the coveted defensive lineman said. “It’s not just them showing love ’cause I’m at their school, it’s genuine love.

Topui is ranked the No. 204 player nationally, the No. 19 defensive lineman and the No. 22 prospect in California according to the On3 Industry rankings.
He’s the sixth overall commitment for the Ducks in their 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 1 nationally. Topui is the second defensive line commitment for Lanning and Oregon, as he joins top-25 Eugene (Ore.) Williamette standout Tony Cumberland.
Topui’s commitment continues Oregon’s growing pipeline to Mater Dei, a perennial top-five program nationally. His teammate, 2026 offensive tackle Kodi Greene, committed to the Ducks in August. Oregon also holds commitments from running back Jordon Davison and EDGE/linebacker Nasir Wyatt. The coaches also signed defensive lineman Aydin Breland and wide receiver Jack Ressler in the 2024 class.
And if Lanning and the Ducks have their way, Topui won’t be the last Monarch they land in the 2026 class, as Mater Dei is also home to wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., who is committed to Ohio State and is ranked the No. 1 player in the country according to On3.
