2026 five-star Reidsville (NC) tight end Kendre Harrison committed to Oregon all the way back in November. As we enter the spring, he couldn’t be more sure of his decision to become a Duck.

On Thursday, the No. 1 tight end in the On3 rankings shut down his recruitment, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

“What’s understood don’t have to be explained. I’m home. Sco Ducks,” he told Fawcett.

The 6-foot-7, 255-pound tight end chose the Ducks from a top group that also included Penn State, North Carolina, Florida State, Tennessee and and Miami. He’s ranked the No. 16 player nationally, the No. 1 tight end and the No. 2 prospect in North Carolina according to the 2026 On300 rankings.

As a junior in 2024, Harrison caught 33 passes for 555 and eight touchdowns (according to MaxPreps).

The Oregon pledge was in Eugene for a visit back in January when Dan Lanning and the Ducks hosted their Junior Day recruiting weekend.

“It really felt like I was at home, man,” Harrison told ScoopDuck. “Going back home right now, it feels kind of weird. It feels like I belong there. That’s the main thing.”

Harrison is also an elite basketball recruit and plans to play both football for Dan Lanning and basketball for Dana Altman when he enrolls at Oregon.

He has all the makings of a generational tight end and is likely the signature recruiting win for Drew Mehringer, who joined Lanning’s staff back in 2022.

Despite having Harrison committed in the 2026 class, Mehringer and the Ducks are still recruiting a number of tight ends. The main names to know at the position include five-star Mark Bowman (CA) four-star Brock Harris (UT).

Both Bowman and Harris have scheduled official visits to Oregon this summer, and Bowman is an interesting recruitment to track after he reclassified from the 2027 class to the class of 2026. The Ducks are battling the likes of USC, Texas and Georgia for his commitment.
