Cal QB Commit Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele Sets Oregon Official Visit
Dan Lanning and the Ducks just added a huge visitor for this weekend.
2025 Ewa Beach (Hi.) James Campbell four-star quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, a Cal commit, will be in Eugene for his Oregon official visit when the No. 1 Ducks face the No. 20 Illinois Fighting Illini, according to a Wednesday morning report from On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
Sagapolutele has been committed to Justin Wilcox and the Golden Bears since July, but other schools have remained heavily in the mix, led by Oregon.
Will Stein and the Ducks offered the lefty passer out of Hawaii in September and have been working on finding a date to get him on campus for a visit.
“Being able to get on the phone with Coach Dan Lanning, Coach Will Stein, is actually just really a blessing ’cause Oregon’s been my dream school ever since I was young,” Sagapolutele told ScoopDuck after being offered. “It’s just so surreal for me to see how far all my God-given talents have gotten me. Just being able to receive an offer from Oregon—it’s a very surreal moment.”

Sagapolutele’s recruiting stock has been on the rise ever since the Elite 11 in June, resulting in new offers from Oregon, Utah and most recently Georgia on Monday.
The four-star quarterback took official visits to Cal, Boise State and Oregon State prior to making his initial commitment. His trip to Oregon this weekend will be his first time in Eugene.
Both myself and Justin Hopkins have On3 RPM picks on Sagapolutele to commit to Oregon.
