Oregon Set to Host Former Florida State WR Malik Benson
Oregon is working to reload and retool its roster for the 2025 college football season and the Ducks are set to host former Florida State wide receiver Malik Benson for a visit, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He reports that the receiver will travel to Eugene this weekend and visit Tennessee as well.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound route runner caught 25 passes for 311 yards and one touchdown in 2024, while the Seminoles finished with a 2-10 overall record.
Benson has been on the move quite a bit in his college career. He spent the 2024 season with the Seminoles in Tallahassee after playing for Alabama in 2023. In Tuscaloosa he caught 13 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown.
Prior to reaching the Division 1 level, Benson was one of the most coveted junior college prospects in the 2023 recruiting class. The Lansing, Kansas native was the No. 1 overall JUCO recruit from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.

Oregon recruited Benson when he was coming out of the junior college ranks. The Ducks hosted Benson for an official visit before he ended up choosing the Crimson Tide.
The Ducks are set to lose at least two of their top wide receivers to the NFL Draft in seniors Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden. Evan Stewart and Gary Bryant Jr. both have additional eligibility remaining should they choose to return to Eugene for another season at Oregon.
Junior Adams signed two receivers in the 2025 class in Dakorien Moore, the No. 1 wide receiver in the country, and Cooper Perry, a top-five prospect from Arizona.
