Quarterback recruiting is always at the forefront of recruiting discussion and Oregon is a player for Jared Curtis No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 class from Nashville (Tenn.) Christian Academy.

On Saturday, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported that Curtis will take an official visit to Oregon the weekend of June 6-8.

Curtis, who captured a Tennessee state title this season, has two other official visits scheduled to Georgia (June 13-15) and South Carolina (June 20-22). He has not set a decision date.

The 6-foot-3 1/2, 225-pound quarterback had previously been committed to Georgia for about six months, but chose to back off his pledge to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs in October.

Dan Lanning, Will Stein and the rest of the Oregon staff moved quickly in response to the news, hosting On3’s No. 3 overall prospect for an unofficial visit in November when the Ducks defeated Maryland.

“I’d say the craziest thing that shocked me the most was the atmosphere,” he told ScoopDuck in an interview. “Holding 55,000 people the stadium was still unbelievably loud. That’s probably the biggest thing. Just getting up there and talking to Coach Lanning and Coach Stein, Jake (Kaneda) one of the other GA’s, just making a relationship with him.”

The coveted quarterback holds nearly 40 reported scholarship offers and trimmed his list of suitors to six earlier this week. Tennessee’s top-ranked prospect is focusing on Oregon, Georgia, South Carolina, Auburn, Alabama and Ohio State moving forward.

The Ducks have one passer committed already in the 2026 class in four-star Frankfort Heights (IL) Lincoln-Way East quarterback Jonas Williams, who committed in August.
