Oregon injury report ahead of Pac-12 title game
The No. 5 Oregon Ducks are expected to be near full strength when they square off with the No. 3 Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 title game.
But that doesn’t mean the Ducks don’t have a few key injury concerns heading into the biggest game of the season.
As we inch closer to kickoff in Las Vegas, here is the latest Oregon injury report based on recent observations and updates from head coach Dan Lanning.
Out
RB Noah Whittington: Oregon’s star running back will likely miss the remainder of the 2023 season due to a knee injury, according to head coach Dan Lanning. One of the top backs in the Pac-12, Whittington rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries in four games this season.
K Andrew Boyle: Oregon’s kickoff specialist has yet to play in a game this season due to injury. Dan Lanning said last week that Boyle is not expected to play at any point this season.
S Bryan Addison: Oregon’s starting free safety is currently taking time away from the team for personal reasons, Dan Lanning said in October. He has not played since the Ducks’ Week 5 win over Stanford and there is no timetable for his return.
WR Justius Lowe: The redshirt freshman receiver has been absent during the open portions of practice for over a month and is not expected to return during the regular season.
DB Daylen Austin: Oregon’s blue-chip true freshman has not practiced in several weeks and has not been in uniform for the past three games. He’s expected to be out again on Friday.
Questionable
WR Josh Delgado: The junior receiver is working his way back after suffering a significant leg injury during spring ball. He has been a full participant at practice for several weeks but has yet to play in a game this season.

CB Jahlil Florence: Oregon’s sophomore starting cornerback has been playing through nagging injuries for much of the second half of the season. He was on the sideline in street clothes during Oregon’s Week 13 win over Oregon State, and Dontae Manning started in his place.
“I’m expecting us to be able to have some of those guys back; still have to wait and see as the week progresses,” Dan Lanning said this week when asked about the status of Florence and Rodrick Pleasant. “That’s kind of the way it goes at this point in the season.”
DB Rodrick Pleasant: Oregon’s standout freshman cornerback played some significant snaps in the Week 11 win over USC. But he has missed the past two games due to injury. As is the case with Florence, Pleasant’s status is unclear at this point.
Probable
WR Gary Bryant Jr.: Oregon’s starting receiver suffered an apparent left foot injury during the Ducks’ win over Oregon State after he was tackled along the sideline by Beavers’ safety Kitan Oladapo. Braynt left the game and did not return.
Dan Lanning said that Bryant practiced on Monday, and it sounds as though he should be good to go for Friday’s game.
“He’s out there and getting better,” Lanning said of the starting wideout. “I think we’ll be in good shape to have him this weekend.”
