The No. 6 Oregon Ducks are once again expected to feature a mostly healthy roster when they face off with Cal in Eugene this Saturday.

The Ducks (7-1, 4-1 Pac-12) have been dealing with a few key, significant injuries and absences for several weeks. Running back Noah Whittington is expected to miss the remainder of the season, starting safety Bryan Addison is currently away from the team for personal reasons, and kickoff specialist Andrew Boyle has yet to play this season due to injury.

However, the majority of the Ducks’ other scholarship players were able to participate in some capacity at practice this week.

With kickoff a little over 24 hours away, here is the latest Oregon injury report based on recent observations at practice.

Out

RB Noah Whittington: Oregon’s star running back will likely miss the remainder of the 2023 season due to a knee injury, according to head coach Dan Lanning. One of the top backs in the Pac-12, Whittington has rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries in four games this season.

Andrew Boyle: Oregon’s kickoff specialist has yet to practice since the start of the season and there is not timetable for his return. With Boyle sidelined, senior placekicker Camden Lewis has handled kickoff duties for the Ducks this season.

Bryan Addison: Oregon’s starting free safety is currently taking time away from the team for personal reasons, Dan Lanning said earlier this month. He has not played since the Ducks’ Week 5 win over Stanford and there is no timetable for his return.

WR Justius Lowe: The redshirt freshman receiver has been absent during the open portions of practice for three weeks in a row and is not expected to be available against the Golden Bears.

Questionable

DL Taki Taimani: The Ducks’ standout nose tackle was not seen at practice this week during the periods that were open to reporters. It’s unclear at this point what the nature of Taimani’s absence was. He started and played 24 snaps against Utah last week.

OL Steven Jones: Oregon’s starting right guard was absent during the open portion of Tuesday’s practice. He returned to practice on Wednesday but wore trainers instead of cleats and did not participate in the lone full-contact drill that reporters were able to watch. Jones started and played 43 snaps against Utah last week.

QB Austin Novosad: The true freshman has served as Oregon’s third-string quarterback all season, but was not in uniform when the Duks traveled to Salt Lake City last week. Novosad was seen with a left leg sleeve during Tuesday’s practice and was absent during the open portion of Wednesday’s practice. Walk-on Brock Thomas took the third-string reps with Novosad out.

WR Josh DelgadoThe junior receiver is working his way back after suffering a significant leg injury during spring ball. He has been a full participant at practice for several weeks but has yet to play in a game this season.
