One of the more intriguing stories of the offseason was the transfer of Oregon State kicker Atticus Sappington to Oregon. Sappington has been one of the most accurate kickers in the country.

The bigger interest about this move might be Sappington the person. He’s a big weight lifter, car guy and likes the stock market. He also has been dubbed ‘Automaticus’ as a kicker.

You can read his top comments below or watch the video at the bottom.

On Nickname “Automaticus”:

“It really came at Oregon State and the Oregonian guy spurned it. It’s an honor to have the nickname. I take pride in that and being able to contribute to the team.”

On Decision to come to Oregon:

“It’s been great. Happy to be here. I feel like God put me here for a reason. Still homegrown and being close to home is a big part of that. With coaching changes you have to re-evaluate. With my parents close to home it was the right move for me.”
