Oregon lands commitment from Howard F Miles Stewart

On Friday evening, Oregon swooped into the portal for another addition for the 2025-26 roster, picking up Howard’s Miles Stewart. Miles is the older brother of Ohio State transfer Sean Stewart, who committed to Oregon on May 7th.
The 6’7 202 Forward from Windermere, FL just wrapped up his redshirt junior season with the Bison. Throughout his 3 years of playing time, he’s only reached over 10 minutes per game once for a season, and it was this past season. Stewart played in 31 games in the 24-25 season, starting 5 of them. He received 10.5 minutes per game and averaged 3.5ppg, 2.4rpg, 0.8apg, 0.3spg, 0.3bpg, 0.9topg, and 1.7pfpg. The RS Junior shot 41/69 (59.4%) from the field, 1/1 from deep, and 24/38 (63.2%) from the free throw line.
Stewart’s best game of the season, against an FBS opponent, was against Morgan State on January 11th. In this contest, he posted 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Against Virginia University of Lynchburg (VUL), a team that shouldn’t be scheduled by anyone (that’s a story for another time), Stewart posted 15 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals. VUL went 0-26 this season for reference, and is worse than a ton of D3 schools.
Roster Outlook
Following the addition of Stewart, and Miles Goodman being removed from the roster, Oregon has 2 scholarships guaranteed to be open. If the house passes the 15 scholarship player rule, then Oregon could have 4.

Oregon has been recruiting Aleksa Ristic from Serbia, and I believe he visited at the same time as Sean Stewart. The 6’4 Guard has been rather impressive this season for Dynamic VP in the Serbia-KLS league, averaging 13.8ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.2apg, and 1.2spg. Ristic shot 54.2% on 2-pointers, 38.6% from range, and 83.7% from the charity stripe.
The Duck’s starting lineup still looks the same with Shelstad, Simpkins (or Phillips), Pryor, Evans Jr, and Bittle. Behind them will be JJ Frakes, Dezdrick Lindsay, Sean Stewart, Miles Stewart, Oleksandr Kobzystyi.
