Oregon lands just outside top-10 in USA Today Coaches Poll
The preseason USA Today Coaches Poll was released Monday morning. If it is any indicator, the national perception of Dan Lanning’s Oregon program is on the rise.
The Ducks landed at No. 12 in the Coaches Poll with 734 points. They rank second among Pac-12 teams, trailing only No. 8 Utah, which received 1,134 points. USC (No. 15, 602 points) is the only other school from the conference that cracked the top-25.
UCLA (10) and Oregon State (2) also received votes.
Oregon’s Coaches Poll ranking is much higher than it was in several “way too early top-25” polls. Pro Football Focus listed the Ducks at No. 25 in April, While ESPN tabbed them at No. 16 in May.
