Oregon Loses DL Commit Viliami Moala

In surprising recruiting news on Monday, Oregon lost one of its long-time defensive commits.
After transferring from Bingham (Utah) to Willamette (Ore.) high school after his commitment, defensive lineman Viliami Moala will transfer once again. This time playing his senior season at Thompson HS in Alabama.
Moala also announced he would be opening up his recruiting process with the move.
The 6-foot-2, 340-pounder had been committed to Oregon all of the 2025 year. He did not take any other official visits this Spring/Summer.
The Ducks have lost three defensive line commits this cycle with Moala being the latest. Earlier Oregon lost Lone Peak (Utah) Bott Mulitalo who ultimately flipped to play offensive line at BYU. And Oregon most notably lost Mater Dei (Calif.) standout Tomuhini Topui to USC earlier this cycle.
