Oregon Loses Four-Star Defensive Line Commitment

Something Oregon fans have been monitoring for weeks has finally happened. A big loss to this recruiting class for Oregon as four-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui has backed off his commitment to the Ducks.
The 6-foot-2, 330-pounder announced his decision moments ago on social media.
Topui has been committed to Oregon since October. He originally committed to Oregon over USC and others. However the Trojans have continued recruiting the four-star including several visits this year.
This one is a tough loss for Oregon as Topui is the No. 154 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 15 ranked defensive lineman nationally.

Topui is the third recruit to decommit from Oregon this cycle. Oregon previously lost a commitment from four-star quarterback Jonas Williams and defensive lineman Bott Mulitalo.
Oregon now has 8 commitments in its 2026 class. The Ducks are in the thick of it for many of the nation’s top talent this cycle.
USC is widely considered the biggest favorite to land a commitment from Topui at this time.
