Oregon Loses Offensive Tackle to the Portal
Dan Lanning does not let many players get away from the program. But one that will apparently be playing elsewhere next season has hit the transfer portal Wednesday afternoon.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett reports freshman offensive lineman Jac’Qawn McRoy will enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot-8, 365-pounder signed with Oregon as a part of its 2024 class. He was a four-star recruit and the No. 199 ranked player in his class.

McRoy had yet to really break into Oregon’s rotation yet this year. With his redshirt year now used up he will have four years to play at another institution.
At the moment this is Oregon’s first known portal entry. It likely will not be the last as various players leave for different reasons.
The transfer portal officially opens up on Monday, December 9.
