Oregon Makes Top Three for TE Christian Bentancur
As the 2023 recruiting class finishes out, the bulk of the attention now turns to the transfer portal and 2024 recruiting.
Drew Mehringer has his sights set on a big time tight end out of Illinois. Marian Catholic (Ill.) tight end Christian Bentancur narrowed his list on Monday to only three programs. And Oregon was fortunate enough to make the cut.

Oregon, Clemson and Ohio State are set to battle it out for the four-star. The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder is the No. 96 ranked recruit in the On3 Consensus Rankings. He is the No. 4 ranked tight end in the 2024 class.
Ohio State holds a slight edge currently in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Oregon has an early commitment at tight end in the 2024 class. North Medford (Ore.) star AJ Pugliano has committed to the Ducks.
The Ducks currently have the No. 9 ranked recruiting class for 2024 with four early commitments.
