The Oregon Ducks continued their steady climb in the national polls following Saturday’s 42-6 road win over Stanford.

In the latest AP Poll, the Ducks jumped from No. 9 to No. 8 and tallied 1,113 points.

In the US LBM Coaches Poll, they held strong at No. 9 with 1,118 points.

Oregon’s movement in the AP Poll is significant, as it leapfrogged USC after the Trojans defense struggled in a 48-41 win over Colorado on Saturday.

The Ducks are one of six Pac-12 schools that cracked both the AP and Coaches Poll top 25 this week.

In the AP Poll, Washington (No. 7), USC (No. 9), Washington State (No. 13), Oregon State (No. 15), and Utah (No. 18) also made the cut. Colorado received one vote.

In the Coaches Poll, USC (No. 7), Washington (No. 8), Washington State (No. 14), Oregon State (No. 16), and Utah (No. 19) landed inside the top-25. UCLA received 25 votes.

The Ducks are heading into a bye week and will set their sights on a season-defining Oct. 14 matchup with Washington in Seattle. A kickoff time for the game has not yet been announced.

“I think it’s the most important game because it’s the next one,” Oregon quarterback Bo Nix said said Saturday when asked about the significance of the Ducks’ showdown with Washington. “Each game has a life of its own. Each game has to be treated like it’s the Super Bowl. It’s a good thing for us that we can reset with this off week and go into it fresh and ready to go, but I believe they’re in the same boat. It’s going to be an all-out battle, an all-out brawl, especially after last year and especially after how both teams have started this year. I’m extremely excited about it. I know they are too.”
