Oregon Offers 2025 Cal QB Commit Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele
On Thursday morning, Oregon sent out a notable scholarship offer to 2025 Ewa Beach (Hi.) James Campbell quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele. Sagapolutele is committed to Cal and chose the Golden Bears back in July over finalists like Boise State and Oregon State.
Oregon’s latest offer stands at 6’3″ and weighs 220 pounds. He’s the No. 1 prospect in the state of Hawaii according to the On3 rankings. The same system ranks him the No. 288 player nationally and the No. 19 quarterback in his class.

Through four games with the James Campbell Sabers, Sagapolutele has thrown for completed 79 of his 107 passes for 1,316 yards and 20 touchdowns against just one interception (according to SBlive). He’s ran the ball 18 times for 102 yards.
Oregon has one quarterback committed already in the 2025 class in San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln passer Akili Smith Jr., the son of legendary Oregon quarterback Akili Smith. The younger Smith committed to the Ducks in July of last year and has shown no signs of wavering in his pledge.

Will Stein and the Ducks have been adamant about signing a second quarterback in the 2025 recruiting cycle for some time now, as they had previously been involved with Duncanville (Tex.) quarterback Keelon Russell, an Alabama commit, as well as Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy quarterback Ty Hawkins, who’s committed to SMU.
Two other names the Ducks pursued were Texas A&M quarterback pledge Husan Longstreet from Corona Centennial in Southern California, as well as Long Beach (Calif.) Poly passer Madden Iamaleava, who’s verbally committed to UCLA.
The early signing period begins on December 4 this year, and fans will have to keep a close eye on if Sagapolutele makes it out to Eugene for a game day visit or an official visit of some variety.
