Oregon Offers Transfer DB Khyree Jackson
The Ducks are looking at the transfer portal hard this offseason. Well it’s not quite the offseason yet but it is transfer season.
Oregon’s defense has plenty of holes to fill. And there could be a number of options jumping in the portal this week. It would appear Oregon already has its eyes on one in the secondary.
Alabama defensive back Khyree Jackson announced last week he would enter the transfer portal. With today being the first day to officially enter, he announced he was in the portal.
The 6-foot-3, 198-pounder signed with Alabama as a part of the 2021 class. Jackson was the No. 5 player in the JUCO rankings that year per the On3 Consensus rankings. He originally played his high school ball in Maryland.

In that 2021 season he contributed mainly on special teams totaling 7 tackles. The 2022 season he started a single game but played in 9 games for the Tide. Again the bulk of his snaps were on special teams.
On Monday morning, Jackson had already reported roughly a dozen new offers. Including Oregon, Penn State, USC, Maryland, Kentucky and others.
Oregon has a major need for help in the secondary. Last season Oregon signed Colorado corner Christian Gonzalez who had a huge season. His NFL draft stock has him as a first or second rounder early in the draft process.
The Ducks currently have 24 commits in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 12 class nationally.
