Oregon opens as two-score favorite ahead of rivalry showdown with Oregon State
The Oregon Ducks are being tabbed as early betting favorites ahead of next Friday’s rivalry showdown with Oregon State in Eugene.
Accoridng to FanDuel, the Ducks are favored at +13.5 over the Beavers. Oregon is a -630 moneyline favorite, and the total is currently sitting at 58.5.
The Ducks (10-1, 7-1 Pac-12) are coming off a dominant 49-13 road win over Arizona State in Week 12 that wasn’t as close as the final score might indicate. Dan Lanning’s squad found the end zone on its first six possessions of the day and took a 42-0 lead into halftime before pulling the starters early in the third quarter.
But Oregon will face one of its toughest tests of the season in Autzen Stadium next Friday. Oregon State, which suffered a close-fought loss to Washington in Corvallis on Saturday, delivered a thrilling comeback win over the Ducks last season.

The Beavers (8-3, 5-3) will be looking to spoil Oregon’s hopes of reaching the Pac-12 title game.
“This game is our Super Bowl, right? They’re obviously a really talented team,” Lanning said on Saturday. “They’re coached extremely well. I’m anxious to sit here and watch some of their film. I’ve been able to watch some crossover film of what they’ve done this season, but I always feel like Jonathan has those guys playing their best ball at the end of the season, and it’s a tough team. It’s a resilient team. I’m excited to see what our fans do when they show out for this game. This is a big one.”
Oregon quarterback Bo Nix will have an opportunity to further bolster his Heisman campaign against a strong Oregon State defense, and will also be looking to avenge last year’s loss.
“We’ve just got to complete the game. We were up big and didn’t get enough explosive plays,” Nix said when asked what has stuck in his memory from last year’s loss. “They moved the ball well there late in the game. I’ve been obviously excited for this one and it’s going to be a fun way to end the season — end our regular season. I just know we’ve got to prepare hard for this week because they’re a really good football team. They’re probably better than they were last year, and we’re going to have to bring it and it’s going to be a really good matchup between really good teams. They’re really good on defense. They show a bunch of different looks. We’re definitely going to have to be prepared, but I’m expected to play them.
The Ducks and Beavers are set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. PT on Friday. The game will air on FOX.
