Oregon RB Jordan James on Samples: "He knows what he's talking about"
Oregon experienced a couple of coaching changes in this offseason. One of which was during Spring football in April.
With coach Locklyn leaving for Ohio State, Oregon moved quickly to bring in coach Ra’Shaad Samples. The process only took about a week.
Jordan James talked about that change and the room overall with media on Tuesday.
On RB Change:
“We have to work through it. Obviously an unexpected loss of coach Lock. But I think we’ve done a great job just within ourselves holding each other accountable.”
On Coach Samples:
“I like him. He knows what he’s talking about. He’s gonna help us win games. He’s definitely brought a different aspect of the game to us.”

On Adding More Carries:
“Just getting in better shape. In way better shape. Knowing what I’m supposed to do on every single player.”
On Noah Whittington:
“It’s good having him back. We have some good guys in the room. But you always need depth at running back. And having his leadership.”
On Jay Harris:
“He’s a big physical guy. He’s going to be hard to tackle, hard to bring down. He was overlooked for sure. Now he gets a chance to prove himself.”
