Oregon Recruiting Hour: More 2026 Dominoes Falling

Oregon recruiting is entering closing season. With official visits set for June, the coaching staff is out on the road recruiting, visiting top targets and top commits in the 2026 class.
On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins dive into the latest in Oregon recruiting. The episode centers around 5-star+ plus Nixa (MO) offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell committing to Miami at the eleventh hour: a recruitment that Dan Lanning and the Ducks appeared to lead for just a month ago.
Cantwell’s commitment to the Canes has sparked a new fire in the discussion around the impact name, image, and likeness has had and will continue to have on college football recruiting. With Cantwell off the board to Miami, Oregon has recently turned up the heat on another 5-star offensive tackle recruit in Immanuel Iheanacho from Baltimore (Md.) Georgetown Preparatory School. The coaching staff was out on the road to visit the massive lineman earlier this month and it looks like they have another big battle on their hands with schools like Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, Alabama and Penn State all in the mix.
It’s clear the coaching staff in Eugene made it a priority this cycle to land one of the two big fish at offensive tackle, whether that was Cantwell or Iheanacho.

They also discuss USC’s new “no visit” policy and what it could mean for the remainder of the 2026 cycle after 5-star Gainesville (GA) linebacker Xavier Griffin backed off his pledge to the Trojans on Wednesday.
