There hasn’t been a lot of news in the world of Oregon Football lately, and it looks like that’s set to change. With the start of the season now under 50 days away, fans are getting a closer look at what this year’s Oregon team will look like, looking specifically at new uniforms.

On Monday, the Ducks shared a video on social media hinting at the release of the second ‘Generation O’ uniform combination.

Fans can’t see much, but in the video that features legendary quarterback Joey Harrington, one detail of the uniform combination draws all the attention, the helmet.

The Oregon O will return to the sides of the helmet in 2024. In recent years the O has primarily been displayed on the back of the helmet, with the exception of the retro uniform combination that features a prominent “UO” on the side.

The new uniform combination will be released in full on July 18, the day before the release of the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

Oregon was in the uniform headlines again late last month, when Kenny Farr and the rest of the Oregon equipment staff captivated the college football world with the team’s first all-black uniform combination since the 2018 college football season, which was the debut of the ‘Generation O’ set.

Later this month, Dan Lanning and three Oregon players will head to Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium to participate in the school’s first Big Ten Media Days since joining the conference. Oregon’s head coach and student athletes will speak on July 25.
