Oregon reveals uniform combination ahead of Week 3 showdown with Hawaii
Oregon is rolling with a classic green and yellow look for its Week 3 showdown with Hawaii at Autzen Stadium.
On Wednesday, UO revealed its uniform combination for Saturday’s tilt with the Rainbow Warriors. Dan Lanning’s squad will be rocking green helmets and jerseys and yellow pants for its final non-conference game.
The Ducks wore the same combination during their 45-27 win over Stanford last season.
No. 13-ranked Oregon (2-0) and Hawaii (1-2) are set to kick off at 5 p.m. PT on Sept. 16. The game will air on Pac-12 Network.
More on Ducks’ uniform combinations
Earlier this week, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning was asked if his program might unveil a special uniform combination for Saturday’s showdown with Hawaii.
“You won’t believe me, I have no idea what we’re wearing this week. It’s a way down like the pecking order. I know that we’re going to look phenomenal, right? I can tell you we’re going to look phenomenal, but I have no clue what we’re wearing. So maybe.”
On Wednesday, Lanning was asked again about the Ducks’ uniforms and the process by which combinations are chosen each week.
“(Equipment administrator Kenny Farr) meets with our players and collaborates. Obviously, with the people that give us a great fit at Nike and map that out before the season starts. We kind of piece it together.”

More on Oregon vs. Hawaii
The Ducks are set to face a Hawaii squad led by Timmy Change, a former star quarterback for the Rainbow Warriors who is one of the greatest players in program history.
Hawaii’s quarterback, Brayden Schager, has thrown for 972 yards, 10 touchdowns, and five interceptions on 62.5% passing in three games this season. He leads an offense that is averaging 27.6 points per game.
“They air it out. They find ways,” Lanning said. “Their quarterback has probably the strongest arm, as far as getting the ball down the field, that we’ve seen so far this year. They connect on deep shots. I think they throw for over 350 yards a game, and I know that he’s looking for more balance, but they create explosive plays with those throws down the field and they have some guys that can really stretch the field. And it’s very different.
“It’s a very different scheme than what you see in other weeks as far as the route distribution, how they read patterns and run the routes based off of your leverages, how shallow routes can convert to long deep routes or deep routes can come back. … They will challenge you from an offensive perspective.”
