Oregon reveals uniforms ahead of Week 2 showdown at Texas Tech
The No. 13 Oregon Ducks are returning to a classic look for their Week 2 showdown with Texas Tech.
On Wednesday, Oregon revealed its uniform combination for Saturday’s marquee matchup in Lubbock.
The Ducks will be rocking all white jerseys and pants with a chrome helmet.
Oregon and Texas Tech are set to kick off at 4:10 p.m. PT on Saturday. The game will air on Fox.
The Ducks are coming off a dominant 81-7 win over Portland State in Week 1. During the victory, they set modern program records for points in a single game and margin of victory.
They will now set their sights on Saturday as they will face a Red Raiders squad that went 8-5 under Joey McGuire last season.
Texas Tech suffered a 35-33 loss at the hands of Wyoming in Week 1 but has plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. The Red Raiders are led by former Oregon quarterback Tyler Shough, who helped the Ducks to the Fiesta Bowl in 2020.
“Well, I mean, first of all, he’s a winner right? The games he started last year they won,” Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said this week when asked about Shough. “I think that he’s had a lot of success in that system. They’ve learned how to use his talents well and he probably doesn’t get enough credit as a runner. He can actually take off and make some plays with his feet. He did that some this past game for them. He really distributes the ball well and understands their system.

“This system requires the quarterbacks to get him into the right checks, make the adjustments, and communicate with wideouts and the backs on what’s actually going on. He does a good job of that.”
Texas Tech features plenty of talent at the receiver position, too. Jerand Bradley was a preseason all-conference selection and is one of the top wideouts the Ducks will face all season. Last week, he caught eight passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.
“Bradley has a huge catch radius. He catches the ball well in traffic,” Lanning said. “They do a good job of getting those guys open where you don’t have bodies on bodies. We have to go work on contested catches right now in practice. We have to go get opportunities to go make plays on the ball in practice. So we’re certainly trying to simulate that in practice this week.”
