Oregon tabbed as one-score underdog ahead of Week 7 showdown at Washington
All eyes will be on Seattle this Saturday when the No. 8 Washington Huskies host the No. 7 Oregon Ducks in a matchup that could have season-defining implications.
With kickoff six days away, Dan Lanning’s Ducks have been tabbed as a narrow underdog to the Huskies.
According to FanDuel, Washington is favored at -2.5. The Huskies are moneyline favorites at -145.
In what figures to be an offensive firework show between two of the top offenses in the nation, the total is set at 67.5.
The Ducks (51.5) and Huskies (46.0) rank second and third nationally in points per game, respectively. Oregon’s Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. are two of the top quarterbacks in all of college football and are among the midseason Heisman frontrunners.
“Play the game, not the occasion. It’s no different than the other big games that we’ve been a part of,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said following Oregon’s Week 5 win over Stanford when asked what the Washington game will mean to his team. “We’re gonna be a part of a lot more. It’s about the 20-mile march consistently on Monday. We can’t go out there and march 60 miles. We want to march 20 miles and be consistent in our approach. Find something we can get better at. Aim small, miss small. We’re going to pick small details that we can improve schematically, individually, for each person on our team. And then we’re gonna try to figure out how to take away other team strengths.”
