Kelly Graves has been a bit under fire the past few years at Oregon. But he did enough this year to get his Oregon squad into the tournament and secure a round one win over Vanderbilt on Friday.

The Ducks started off hot against Vandy opening up to a 36-25 lead at halftime. But the Dores would battle back in the fourth quarter outscoring Oregon 24-1 in the quarter to tie and force overtime. However a 10-6 overtime would be enough for Oregon to win the game by a final of 77-73.

Oregon had three double-digit scorers in the win led by 20 points from Deja Kelly along with 8 rebounds.

Now Kelly Graves faces an even tougher test Sunday with No. 2 seed Duke. The game will be played at Cameron Indoor Stadium in North Carolina. It’s set for a 9 AM PST tipoff and will air on ESPN.

Duke relies on really good team defense to outscore its opponents. However they are undersized on the interior which means Oregon’s 6-foot-8 center Phillipinna Kyei could be an x-factor for Oregon.

The lady Blue Devils are favored by 14.5 points ahead of this matchup.
