Oregon women's basketball adds guard Taya Hanson from Arizona State
After seeing a mass exodus of players last week, the Oregon women’s basketball program added a proven Pac-12 player on Tuesday.
Taya Hanson, a senior grad transfer from Arizona State, has committed to Oregon after entering the transfer portal last week. She announced her commitment on Instagram this afternoon.
In her fourth season with the Sun Devils, she started all 26 games and averaged 8.3 points and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 31.1 percent from the field, 28.9 from three, and 88.7 percent from the free throw line.

Hanson comes to Oregon with one season of eligibility remaining and will join a backcourt that returns starters Te-Hina Paopao and Endyia Rogers.
Last Monday, Nyara Sabally announced she was entering the WNBA Draft. Since then, guards Maddie Scherr, Taylor Bigby, and Sydney Parrish, as well as forward Kylee Watson, have all entered the transfer portal.
