Oregon WR Kyler Kasper: "I think we got some of the best corners in the country"
Oregon wide receiver Kyler Kasper was one of the student-athletes available to media on Tuesday. Kasper didn’t break into the starting rotation last year but is looking for an even bigger role in the offense this year.
The wide receiver room is loaded but Kasper also noted the guys across from them, at corner, are really good too. You can read some of his top comments below and watch the full video at the bottom.
On Improvements:
“I think last year again, like I said, just just really digging in on the playbook, the defense, coverages. Just being able to know all of that. So I know I can and have always had the ability to go out there and play so that’s what I mean. It’s been frustrating, that aspect of things but the I main thing I did realize, I got to, you know, take advantage of that playbook. Take advantage of knowing the defense so I can go out there and just play freely and do my thing.”
On Earning More PT:
“Yeah I mean I think I just go keep doing what I’m doing right now you know. When that ball’s in the air obviously I’m 6-foot-6, go catch everything, everything should be mine. And then just continue to run routes like I’m one of the other dudes you know. At 6-foot-6 and just go you know do my thing, keep it up. You know what I’m saying?”

On Traeshon Holden:
“Seems like he’s kind of getting more experience and feels like he might break through this year a bit more. I think I think Trae is, he’s a dog, he’s got that inside of him. So I think he’s a real experienced dude you know. He came from a program at Bama where they won the national Championship. So he’s seen it all and he knows what it takes. And I think he’s got it in him. So he’s got to go and just go release it this year I think he will.”
On the Corners at Oregon:
“I think we got some of the best corners in the country, I think if not the best corner group in the country hands down. So going against them every day obviously you can’t get better than that you know what I’m saying. So going against them, going against dudes like Dontae (Manning), Jabbar (Muhammad), all of them it’s it helps me out a lot. It’s going to make the games easier.”
