Oregon's Run Game Too Much For Cougars, Refs
One week after mauling the hapless Huskies, the Oregon Ducks entered Saturday night in a classic letdown situation. Coming off their rival, and one week before playing likely conference title game foe Utah, the Ducks welcomed in the always tricky, ever annoying, and vastly improved Washington State Cougars.
Then, outside of a shaky second quarter and a horrendous blown call resulting in a 10-point swing, Oregon flexed their mettle in defeating the Cougars 38-24.
Once again, the final score won’t blow the committee’s hair back, but the Ducks put together an excellent game against a formidable opponent and did nothing to hurt their standing.

Oregon won this game in various ways: dominant defensive line, Anthony Brown, Travis Dye, and Byron Cardwell were unstoppable on the ground, and Mykael Wright turned the game with his long kickoff return to start the second half.
Now the showdown in Salt Lake City looms, with the North title all but wrapped up and a playoff shot still directly in the windshield.
