Oregon's T.J. Bass "looking at options" as he decides on future
In a season filled with injuries, disappointing losses, and now a coaching change, one of the only certainties for the Ducks in 2021 has been the consistently excellent play of T.J. Bass.
Oregon’s junior offensive lineman was a first-team all-conference selection on a Ducks’ O-line that was consistently being chopped and changed to account for injuries.
Now, after putting 13 strong games on tape this fall, Bass’s NFL Draft stock has begun to climb, and he has a decision to make.
The star junior was asked Thursday if he has decided on his future yet but was non-committal.
“That’s still up in the air, I’m not sure,” Bass said. “I’m looking at options, not gonna rush into anything at the moment.”

Bass hasn’t popped up on any notable early mock drafts of big boards. But he flashed versatility this season by shifting from left guard to left tackle, and he blends excellent technique and athleticism with a 6-foot-5, 315-pound frame. It’s easy to imagine why he would be a coveted prospect for NFL teams.
Oregon right tackle Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu has already said he intends to play in the Dec. 29 Alamo Bowl and then enter the NFL Draft. Starting center Alex Forsyth said he will return to Oregon for the 2022 season.
The Ducks will lose senior tackle George Moore next season as he has exhausted his eligibility. But every other offensive lineman on the two-deep will be eligible to return if they so choose.
