Oregon's top 5 POTG vs Purdue
Oregon defeated Purdue 35-0 on the road on Friday night and had a slew of injuries coming into the game. The Ducks showed they were up to the task and had the depth to dominate this one. There were five players that really stood out to me after a short week. Players will be listed in no particular order.
The Ducks starting QB was surgical in the first half against the Boilermakers and would finish the game with only 4 incompletions. Gabriel threw for two touchdowns in this one, one of which was to Tez Johnson, and the other going to Noah Whittington. The interception was certainly unfortunate and was just a little bit out of the grasp of Justius Lowe’s hands. I expect Gabriel to continue improving the further he gets into the season.
A near 100 yard performance from Stewart a week after really cementing himself as a threat for opposing defenses was certainly fun to watch. Evan Stewart’s improvement over the past few games has been incredible to see and his coaches and quarterback show a lot of trust in him. If I were a betting man I would bet that Evan Stewart is only going to get better and more consistent.
The former 5-star has been a very impressive player for the Ducks in his sophomore campaign, recording another sack tonight. The growth he has shown with Jordan Burch out has noticed by his coaches who have high praise for him. Matayo finished the night with 3 tackles, 2 TFLs, and a sack in the Ducks win over Purdue.

Tuioti is a player that needed to step up in Jordan Burch’s absence and he did just that tonight against an offensive line in the bottom half of the Big Ten. Teitum finished the game as Oregon’s leading tackler, recording 6 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 sack.
I could really go on and on about how great of a player Jabbar Muhammad is but that would turn into an essay. The transfer from Washington has been an absolute baller this season and by my count had two major pass breakups tonight. One of which was against a wide receiver four inches taller than himself, and yet he still jumped up to make a great play on the ball. The secondary as a whole was incredible and should get a ton of credit for helping the defense contain Ryan Browne.
