On Tuesday, the NBA announced a list of 283 players who have filed as early entry candidates for the NBA Draft.

Among them are two Oregon starters: Will Richardson and Quincy Guerrier.

Those entries, of course, are not set in stone. Players who wish to retain their college eligibility and have not hired an agent have until Wednesday, June 1 to withdraw their name from the Draft.

At this time, it has not been announced that either Guerrier or Richardson has hired an agent.

Richardson was Oregon’s leading scorer at 14.1 points per game and one of the top three-point shooters in the Pac-12 at 38.8 percent while starting all 30 games that he played in.

Guerrier, a transfer from Syracuse who just finished his first season with Oregon, started 35 games and averaged 10.1 points on 42 percent shooting.

Richardson missed the final five games of the season and received criticism from a vocal portion of Oregon’s fan base during that time as the team struggled without him. It was later revealed that he had contracted mononucleosis.

After Oregon’s season-ending loss in the NIT, Ducks’ coach Dana Altman gave a spirited defense of Richardson and said he would be thrilled to have him back for another season.

“I want Will to be happy,” Altman said. “If Will wants to come back, great. If he wants to go try to make it in the pros, great. If he wants to go somewhere else, great. I want Will to be happy, just like I do all our players.

“Because I know if they’re not all-in at Oregon, we’re not gonna accomplish what we wanna accomplish. I loved working with Will for four years, and I hope he comes back. I hope he comes back and gets in that weight room and works on his game and is the player I know he is. Because he’s a heck of a basketball player.”

On Monday, Oregon guard De’Vion Harmon entered the transfer portal. Eric Williams Jr. has left the program, as have big men Franck Kepnang and Isaac Johnson. Starting guard Jacob Young has exhausted his eligibility.

This offseason, the Ducks have added Colorado guard Keeshawn Barthelemy via the transfer portal.
