Pac-12 Review: Week Ten Winners and Losers

Late last week I made my predictions on each Pac-12 game. There wasn’t a lot to get excited about in the conference however with a bunch of top-end teams facing a bunch of lower-end teams.
That included the Ducks and Buffs.
Here were my original picks. Prior to this week I had a 36-11 record on the season. I’m now up to 41-12 on the season with my picks.
Let’s review the week that was in the conference of champions.
Huskies Win Ugly
Jhop’s Pick: OSU
Easily the game of the week in the conference. It was a pretty light week however. But the Beavs kept it close. There wasn’t much help at the quarterback position for the Beavs which probably made all the difference here. Now it’s time for the Huskies to play the ‘other Oregon team.’
Ducks Blast Buffs
Jhop’s Pick: Oregon
As expected, Oregon got the dub. And best of all, they looked good doing it. Style points matter and the Ducks picked some up in Boulder.
Cougs Roll the Furd
Jhop’s Pick: Wazzu
Somehow Stanford beat Notre Dame who just beat Clemson. College football is wild some times. The Cougs get back on track with a win Saturday.

Utes Roll the Cats
Jhop’s Pick: Utah
A good but costly win for Utah. The Utes lost one of its key defensive players in the win which could be a big problem for them in two weeks with the Ducks.
Trojans Win Ugly
Jhop’s Pick: USC
I said I wouldn’t pick against USC and I didn’t. But each week they seem to narrowly escape wins they should be steamrolling. That’s going to be problematic when they face UCLA.
Chip Keeps Rolling
Jhop’s Pick: UCLA
Easy pick to make here. Chip and UCLA have continued to play really well outside of a tough loss to Oregon. Can’t wait for the battle for L.A. in two weeks.
