On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins dive into a major Oregon recruiting update. 2026 5-star plus+ Nixa (Mo.) offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell could be nearing a decision.

The No. 1 player in the country is coming off of spring visits to Miami, Michigan and Ohio State. Each of those programs is inside his top schools and he has official visits set to each except for the Buckeyes. What does this development mean for Dan Lanning and Oregon? Max and Jhop dive into that very questions.

Plus, we got to hear from two Oregon players and a coach on Thursday following practice in Eugene. Oregon defensive line coach Tony Tuioti gave one of the more candid and in-depth interviews we’ve heard this spring. Oregon is looking to replace the production lost by Jordan Burch and Jamaree Caldwell‘s departures. They’ll turn to players like A’mauri Washington, who spoke Thursday, as well as Bear Alexander and Tionne Gray among others.

The 2025 Oregon defensive line will feature plenty of new faces, but many of them are former blue-chip recruits and All-American talents. Tuioti also highlighted players like Jericho Johnson and Aydin Breland from the 2024 recruiting class during his press conference. Quarterback Dante Moore also spoke to the media, highlighting how he’s improved this offseason, the new wide receivers on this year’s squad and more.

This upcoming season will feature a lot of “home grown” talent as Lanning and the coaching staff place a smaller emphasis on recruiting the transfer portal with each seaosn.
