Projecting Oregon's defensive two-deep ahead of fall camp 2023

With Oregon set to begin fall camp this week, there is plenty of attention surrounding the Ducks' defense ahead of Dan Lanning's second year with the program. In 2022, UO struggled to consistently stop opposing passing attacks and ranked 102nd nationally in passing yards allowed per game. So, after five starters from last year's defense departed for the NFL Draft, Lanning and defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi spent the offseason rebuilding the roster in order to better fit their scheme. After a flurry of offseason roster activity, here is a pre-fall projection of Oregon's defensive depth chart. Players from the 2023 signing class who were not with the Ducks with spring ball are not included here.
