QUACK: Ducks Land Second QB Transfer
Dan Lanning has done something quite amazing on the recruiting trail. Not only did Oregon land one of the most coveted transfer quarterbacks in Dillon Gabriel, they landed a second highly coveted quarterback transfer moments ago.
Duck fans remember the name Dante Moore all too well. The former five-star committed to Oregon in the 2023 cycle and had a change of heart on signing day heading to UCLA instead. It was a massive win for Chip Kelly on the recruiting trail and Duck fans were devastated.
But in the new recruiting with the transfer portal, sometimes coming in second just puts you at the front of the line next time around.
Moments ago Dante Moore announced he will transfer to Oregon. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder started five games for Chip and appeared in nine games total. He threw for over 1,600 yards and 11 touchdowns at UCLA.

Moore entered the portal and Oregon got involved early. However the Ducks were intent on selling him the potential to develop behind Gabriel for a season. With his freshman season being a roller coaster Moore must have liked the idea.
Miami, Ohio State, Michigan and others were all interested in Moore.
Oregon did lose one of its quarterbacks to the transfer portal with veteran backup Ty Thompson entering his name.
