QUACK: Four-Star DL Commits to Oregon over Texas, Bama
The Ducks have scored a massive commitment from Folsom (Calif.) defensive lineman Josiah Sharma Friday afternoon. He announced his decision over social media moments ago.
Sharma is listed at 6-foot-3.5, 320-pounds on his On3 profile. He’s rated a four-star (90.64) recruit, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. The same system ranks him the No. 236 player nationally, the No. 18 defensive lineman and the No. 23 prospect in California.
The Northern California product took official visits to each of his top three schools, Oregon, Texas and Alabama, before choosing Dan Lanning and the Ducks.
Sharma is the second true defensive lineman to commit to Oregon this cycle, joining Concord (Calif.) De La Salle star Matt Johnson. He’s the fourth defensive recruit for the Ducks this cycle along with EDGE/LB Nasir Wyatt and new defensive back commit Brandon Finney, who committed earlier this week.

Sharma’s commitment comes at a great time for the Oregon staff, as 2025 defensive lineman Trajen Odom, another priority target, committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday.
Dan Lanning and company will now turn their attention to the highly anticipated decisions of tight end Da’Saahn Brame and linebacker Noah Mikhail this weekend.
